This week my Word Of The Week is…

Yea folks the word for this week says it all… SICK. And I don’t mean it like Tom has started to say it instead of ‘cool’ I mean SICK as in coughing, aching, not being able to move SICK.

As I mentioned in last weeks #Project365 over the weekend the cough that Tom had for ages seemed to be getting worse even after getting a cough bottle from the doctor. So we thought we would take him to see the doctor, maybe he would be able to give him something a little stronger or an antibiotic if he needed it. All the doctor said was that it would get better in a couple of days.

That’s all well and good him saying that but he’s not the one that has to stand by when their wee man is coughing up his lungs in the middle of the night. It’s only now that he has started to feel better and you can tell that the cough is getting better. It’s still there but it’s getting better.

And then there was me. I have had a bit of a scratchy throat for a while now but on Monday it seemed to get a lot worse. I woke up in the middle of the night a pretty much, like Tom, coughed my lungs up. I was so bad that I ended up having to call in SICK to work. Something I haven’t done since I went over on my ankle a couple of months ago. And before that it had to have been at least a year.

When I woke up on the Tuesday morning and put my feet on the floor that I fell back down onto the bed. It was probably a good thing that my OH had decided to stay in Amy’s room or I would have landed on top of him. Everything was spinning. My throat was on fire and I had lost my voice. It was the first time I had been so sick that I HAD to stay in bed. There was no way that I would have been able to make it into and to do a 7 hour shift, I think it would have killed me. It was actually so bad that I couldn’t phone in… I had to send the manager a text message because there was no way that they would have heard me.

I was able to go in the next day but I was still bad and even now as write this my throat is really scratchy. It’s nothing like it was on Tuesday but it’s still not 100% better. I’m hoping that it will disappear very soon. I don’t think my OH is appreciating all the sniffling that I’ve been doing. Especially in the middle of the night.

Plus it seems now that there’s a possibility that my OH might be getting it. Which he’s really not happy about; being that he’s suppose to be going away for a week of cycling and camping at the beginning of July. I’m hoping that all the sneezing he’s been doing is down to the weather and his hay-fever acting up…. FINGERS CROSSED.

Anyway, friends, thanks for reading, hope you liked what you read and if you did please make sure to like, share, comment and if you have any suggestions please don’t hesitate to gimme a shout!  J xxx
