WOTW – w/c 22/04/2019

My word for this week is…

This week has been full of surprises. Not only for me but for the whole clan. The first started when I realised I had manged to get the full Easter weekend off. I know I’ve mentioned it before but it really was a shock. I haven’t had two days off together without asking for them in a loooooooooooooong time… but this time not only did I have two days off but I had three. It was so good not to have to think of work for that length of time.

My OH had said that he was planning on heading away for the weekend cycling with a friend but unfortunately something happened that his friend wasn’t able to go so it meant that we were able to spend the weekend together.

It was a good idea that he didn’t go as on Friday morning I got a surprise message while I was in work to say that Amy had arrived at the door. She was down in the town to see a friend and thought she see if Tom wanted to head over the town with them. Tom was over the moon as he hadn’t seen her since before Christmas and, even though he wouldn’t admit it. really missed her. They walked him over the town and then up to surprise their Granny V.

Amy also had a wee surprise of her own, granted I think it was one of the reasons she decided to come down to ours. Her mum gave birth to a beautiful baby boy just before the weekend. I have a slight feeling that we’ll be seeing a little more of her in the coming months when he gets up a little and the real crying begins lol.

We also had a surprise visit the cinema to see the new Avengers: End Game movie. It’s the first time I’ve been to the cinema on an opening day and it wasn’t really a surprise when I found out that the showing had been sold out. It was one of the most anticipated movies to come out this year and it really didn’t disappoint. I’m still trying to process most of what happened in it but it was a really good show.

This week has just been full of surprises and quite interesting. More interesting than it has been in a long time. I think I’ll blame it on the weather. Good things always seems to come when the sun is shining.
