Yet another week has gone by in a flash. And nothing much has happened, which means I don’t really have anything to write about. So I’m just going to start typing to see what comes out of it. I’ll maybe have an epiphany and think of a really cool post that I could do for later on in the week.
Tom was school on Monday as it was a bank holiday but unfortunately I was working so any plans that we might have had to do something were thrown out the window. When I came home from work he was still in his pyjamas and if it hadn’t been having a visitor later on in the afternoon I don’t think he would’ve got changed. Tom ended up being off school on Tuesday as well only this time it was due to him being sick through the night. He was fine straight after so we’re putting it down to him eating too much junk the previous day but we thought it best to keep him off… just in case.
The rest of the week was pretty much uneventful. I was working, Tom was at school and my OH pottered about the house finishing off bits and pieces that he had started the previous week. I finished my first book in what feels like an absolute age on the recommendation from my OH. ‘Wool’ by Hugh Howey is the first book in part of the ‘Silo Saga’. I didn’t think that I would like it as it’s not the type of novel I usually read but I couldn’t set it down. Usually, when I read, especially at night, I find that reading anything leaves me really tired. In fact it’s one of the sure fire ways to get me to sleep But I spent most of Saturday on the sofa with my phone in hand reading it, determined to get it finished. My OH has started reading the next book in the saga ‘Shift’ and has said that it’s nothing like the first so I’m not sure if I’ll continue on with it.
When I’ve had the chance I’ve also been catching up on all the Netflix series that I’ve been meaning to watch. Seasons such as ‘Suits’, ‘Riverdale’ and ‘Grimm’. I’ve also started watching the 8 episode series ‘The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann’. A show that I’m not too sure if I’m going to be able to watch or if it’ll rile me up so much that I’ll have to turn it off.
Over the weekend we decided that we should get out of the house instead of sitting in front of the TV, computer, or console. We decided that we would go for a walk around one of the local forests. Something that we haven’t done in a long time. It felt so good to get out of the house and I hope that its something that we keep doing. I miss getting out of the house and going for walks. We used to, even in the middle of winter, head out and walk the length of some of the local beaches we have. It’s something that we have to do more often; once a week at least.
Anyway, friends, thanks for reading, hope you liked what you read and if you did please make sure to like, share, comment and if you have any suggestions please don’t hesitate to gimme a shout! J xxx
