I have had so many new things to eat this week and things that weren’t new were things that I haven’t had in an age. This is why I love being off work when it comes to food, we can get a little bit more adventurous with what we have and when. When I’m in work I’m usually that tired by the time it comes to dinnertime I can’t be bothered to wait or have anything too extravagant. So, I usually go for whatever is easiest.

Anyway folks, these are some of the things I ate last week:

Sweet Potato and Chickpea Burger, Roast Aubergine and a Linda McCartney Sausage.

I walked into Marks and Spencers to get us some of their new vegan coleslaw from their Plant Kitchen range and found a few items had been drastically reduced in price because of their best before date. Not one to waste food because of a simple date I snapped them up. Both the burgers and the aubergine were 35p each… BARGAIN!!!! And absolutely gorgeous!

An Equals Burger and Garlic Bread.

We read about these burgers from the Vegan Womble Instagram page which both my OH and I follow. Available from Asda and at less than half the price of the beyond burgers from Tescos, we HAD to try them.

Tesco’s Meatfree Fishless Fishcakes, Fry’s family Schnitzels, hashbrown and chips with a dollop  of curry mayo

Seen these schnitzels in Sainsbury’s when I was in getting a few things and had no clue what they were so thought ‘what the hell’ and got them to try. Apparently, they’ve got loads of mushrooms in them which I’m not usually a fan off but these were lovely. The Fishless fishcakes from Tescos were the best I had tasted in a long time. They tasted just like the real thing.

Alternative to a fry… a grill!

Linda McCartney Sausages, potato waffle, hash brown, beans and my OH’s attempt at fried tofu a recipe book he’s recently purchased. And it did actually taste like some form of egg. It’s something that I have requested him to do a little more often.

What all have you been eating this week? Something that tingles your tastebuds I hope. Thanks for reading, I hope you like what you read and if you did please make sure to like, share, comment and if you have any suggestions, please don’t hesitate to gimme a shout! J x
