Plant Kitchen Fishless Fishcakes, Plant Kitchen Coleslaw, and chips.

I was passing M&S on my way home from work today and thought I would call in and lift a couple of things for dinner. I’ve been meaning to try them since I heard they were bringing out a new range including the Fishless fish cakes here, beetroot burgers, potato salad and loads of ready meals. They are a little more expensive than I would usually pay but I thought if they taste nice enough it would be worth it.

The fishcake didn’t quite do it for me. I think there may have been lemon or lime among the ingredients but I threw out the package so can’t check… oops. My OH put it perfectly when he said it sort of tasted a little like fairy liquid. I dont think I’ll be rushing back any time soon to get another packet. OH on the other hand loved it but then he was a big fish eater before he turned vegan.

The coleslaw to me tasted just like normal coleslaw. Its something I haven’t had in so long and something I was kind of starting to crave. So, when I seen M&S had some I jumped at the chance to try it.

It didn’t have too much vinegar in it which I was scared it would as that’s what usually puts me off it. This one was just right. And it went perfectly with the chips.

Think next time I’ll give it a go on a baked potato just to see how it holds up.Anyway, friends, thanks for reading, hope you liked what you read and if you did please make sure to like, share, comment and if you have any suggestions please don’t hesitate to gimme a shout! J xxx
