This week’s movies

If you haven’t guessed by now we’re a family who very very rarely watches TV. Play video games on consoles, binge watch complete series/seasons on Netflix and browsing the internet… that’s what we use our TVs for. That and watching movies.

My OH and I would try to sit down and watch at least one movie a week on nights where I don’t have to get up early for work the next day. It doesn’t always happen but I thought I would make a weekly post out it. Naming and possibly writing my views on the movies. Not a review per se just what I thought about the movie, etc. It’s not something I’m used to doing so bit may take me a while to get into the swing of it but hopefully, it’ll be something you will enjoy reading.

So, anyway, these are the movies we watched this week…

Mission Impossible – Fallout (2018)

The 6th movie in the M.I. franchise released over the summer sees Tom Cruise playing Ethan Hunt. Not the best Mission Impossible I’ve seen and Henry Cavill didn’t make it any better. There’s just something about him and I’m not sure what it is. Could be my OH going on about how much he hates him and it rubbing off or just him. Either way, he didn’t make it any better.

My Rating – 2/5

The Day After Tomorrow (2004)

An oldie that I haven’t actually seen before this week. And if I’m honest it wasn’t too bad. I thought that with it being nearly 15 years old that it might not hold the test of time but it truly did. This was the first ‘disaster’ movie that Tom has ever seen and in my opinion being the age he is, it wasn’t a bad one to start off with. How I know he enjoyed it was him stating that he doesn’t want to watch any more movies like it… meaning it a little too tense for him in places.

My Rating – 3.5/5

Anyway, friends, thanks for reading, hope you liked what you read and if you did please make sure to like, share, comment and if you have any suggestions please don’t hesitate to gimme a shout! J xxx
