Going to the fridge to see if I could find anything to eat and finding nothing that I could nibble on, I got an inkling for some soup. Not having any in the house, I thought I would get out the soup maker. A piece of kitchen equipment which hasn’t been used in so long. We used to use our soupmaker all the time but with it being the summer it’s been gathering dust in the corner of our kitchen.
Today’s soup was tomato and red pepper. I didn’t have any fresh tomatoes so a couple of tins of chopped tomatoes would have to suffice. The reason why I love the soup maker so much is the same as the reason why I love my slow cooker (which also has to be used more often as well), you can just throw all your ingredients into it, hit start and 21 minutes later you have a healthy very tasty soup.
This one, in particular, I would give 3 out of 5. I don’t know whether it was the garlic or the pepper. All I can say is that it was, as usual, very palatable. It was spicy and mid at the same time. Sweet and sour. Hot and cold. I know it’s something I’ve said multiple times on here but it’s something I will be making again.
